Our Mind — Friend and Enemy in Disguise

Smiling faces, crying hearts
Is that what we’ve become?

What’s breaking us down?
Not people,
nor past nor future.
But our mind!

Our mind —
best friend at times;
worst enemy otherwise.
A unique combo in disguise…

Our mind — is bewildered
With worry, sorrow, and fear

But why?

The Material world
Is a never-ending chase
Of meeting expectations
In life’s every phase

Pause, breathe, smile
The journey’s worthwhile…

We can be calm, joyful, and kind
With the superpower of our mind…
With a peaceful, controlled mind,
every moment can be fulfilled — success redefined!

Let’s make ourselves mindfully content
Beautiful — the world will naturally be…
